Solar panels create DC electricity (1) which is converted to AC power by the inverter (2) for use in the business (3). Unused energy is exported to the grid via the meter (4) and receives a feed-in tariff. Everything changes if a battery option (OPT) is added. Power is now stored for evening use or on cloudy days.

1. Feasibility Studies
A dedicated Project Manager is appointed and will oversee a thorough feasibility study to assess the potential and viability of solar energy for your site. This involves evaluating factors such as site conditions, energy needs, and environmental impact to determine the best approach for implementing a solar solution.
2. Cost-Benefit and ROI Analyses
Our team performs detailed cost-benefit and return on investment analyses across a range of system sizes to help you understand the financial implications and benefits of switching to solar energy. We provide clear insights into the costs, savings, and payback period, ensuring you make an informed decision.
3. Design and Site Inspections
Our experienced engineers will finalise a design tailored to your specific energy requirements and available roof space. We use advanced modeling and simulation tools to create solar solutions that maximise energy production and meet all Australian Standards and Clean Energy Council best practices. Site inspections are conducted to ensure the design is practicable and achievable.
4. Surveying and Drafting
Accurate surveying and drafting are crucial for the successful implementation of large-scale solar projects. As part of the site inspections, our team produces detailed drafts and plans to ensure that every aspect of the installation is meticulously executed. Structural engineering reports are provided for every large-scale project. The panel layout and electrical plans are also used for As Built drawings at the end of major projects.
5. Applications and Approvals
Navigating the regulatory landscape can be challenging. We handle all necessary applications and approvals, including permits and grid connection agreements, ensuring that your project complies with local electricity distributor regulations and progresses smoothly. Guidance and relevant reports can be provided for Development Applications and/or State Heritage Consent.
6. Procurement and Logistics
We manage the procurement and logistics of all materials and components needed for your installation, as well as any other requirements such as scissor lifts, scaffolding, edge protection, etc. . Our logistics team ensures timely delivery with on-site routes and drop-off locations pre-planned in consultation with the Site Manager.
7. Safety and Risk Analysis
Safety is paramount in all our operations and is one of CBR’s core values. We conduct comprehensive safety and risk analyses to identify potential hazards and implement robust safety measures. A formal safety plan is developed for large-scale projects. Our commitment to safety ensures that our installations are conducted without incident and in compliance with Safe Work Australia and State-based standards.
8. Construction
Our skilled in-house construction teams handle the physical installation of your solar system, ensuring that all components are installed correctly and securely in accordance with the design plans. Working hours and number of days on site will have been agreed prior to commencement, and our work will be conducted with minimum disruption to your business in mind.
9. Commissioning and Testing
Once construction is complete, we perform thorough commissioning and testing to ensure that your solar system is operating designed. This involves rigorous testing of all components and monitoring systems to verify functionality and efficiency, and checking output to see that performance estimates are being met. Independent witness testing and distributor inspections are organised before the system goes live.
10. Maintenance and Support
We provide a comprehensive System Operating Manual which includes maintenance schedules to keep your solar system running smoothly. A customised CBR Maintenance Plan can be implemented which may include regular inspections, cleaning, component testing, and performance monitoring. Identifying any issues promptly helps to ensure long-term reliability and efficiency. Our engineers are electricians are available to provide assistance both remotely and on site when needed.
